Breakfast all day, plus Italian pasta and parmigiana, Oriental stir-fry, Mexican fajitas, burgers, wraps, steaks, seafood ... oh, and Greek. The Macon Diner must have the most varied menu in town.

Macon Diner
Come on people! Diner food or not, have you ever taken the time to think about how long all the "great variety" of food sits back in their kitchen?! How many people do u think go in there and order calamari on a regular basis? I'm glad u think freezer burn is the best thing since sliced bread. As for the steak- HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER STEPPED BEHIND THE DINER?! TAYLORMADE GRILL is a true place to get great steak or seafood, or anything FRESH! I wish the maconites would start supporting the independent restaurants in this city instead of continuing to chow down on chain food. If you think outback or carabas or longhorn is good try one your local spots...they actually CARE about the food AND the service. So the next time you think about our latest "and greatest" diner, try one parking lot over and get a truly great meal. OH AND BY THE WAY...check your tickets people, they charge tax TWICE! You might want to add up the total in ur head, b/c I have heard this has happened on multiple occasions. How great they must be, scamming you in your own city.
Please take my comment in stride in case I am incorrect. If I am not mistaken, the owners of this diner are the same ones who owned a few in the metro Atlanta area where I live. One called the 'City or City Lights diner' in Jonesboro & another was 'The Broadway diner' in Stockbridge. Both are now closed. As the article states the portions were big but the taste was very bland. Breakfeast was ok but most anyone can make a good breakfeast.

The Macon Diner must have the most varied menu in town. It's hard to review a place like this because you can't find a "representative dish." What I can say is that nothing is bad, the portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. Some dishes are quite delicious and relatively unusual in Middle Georgia; others are not terrific but still good. (Full review)
