Cinders by Janusz Glowacki. Written while in exile as a Polish dissident, this play examines survival under tyrannical authority. This bold, Kafkaesque comedy is set in a girls' reform school in Warsaw, 1984, where a documentary is being filmed of the school's production of Cinderella.
